Well I can verify that with the correct attachment, the Varangian Trimmer is definitely, ballz safe! Best trim I've had on both my head and ballz. Just make sure to wash/clean before switching!

Absolutely love this thing and all of it's various attachments. Its good for everything. Only reason it's not a full 5 star is cause I wish the titanium blade would cut closer. But the fact that it has so many different heads on one body makes it absolutely perfect for my needs

Just received my trimmer today, out of the box it's near perfect so far. My only complaint as of now is the Varangian Guard. As other have stated in their reviews, it's rather hit or miss, even with multiple passes leaving long hairs behind. I would happily exchange it for a standard 3/6/9/12 mm guard set similar to what manscaped used to offer with their 2.0, as like their current designs this guard also tends to allow cut hair to build up between the guard and the trimmer head further negatively impacting the efficiency of the trimmer while having to constantly stop, remove the guard, and clear away the build up several times, and that was just for my head.
