'Oh, the weather outside may be frightful, but people's generosity can be so delightful, and 'tis soon the season to be jolly, and in the spirit of Chris..that word that nobody should say until the month of December, brings this year's charity campaign of 'Adopt A Family For Exit 6'.

We're not sure if you recall last years event with our very own brand Viking, Yutaka Tamanaha, but let me refresh your memory just in case you may have forgotten and have little to no clue as to what I am talking about here.

The Exit 6 craft beer Brewery and Yutaka have a rather unique relationship, one that sees our Viking challenge himself as he puts his marvelous beard on the chopping block, quite literally. This annual cause was created to help local families in need of that little extra helping hand over the christmas holidays, Owner of Exit 6 Brewery, Jeff Britton from Missouri formed this original idea and hosts the 'Adopt A Family' campaign, this being the fourth event, which drums up the generosity and goodwill from the local community, as well as those around the globe through the wonderful power of the internet.

Each and every penny raised by the cause goes directly into supporting the families nominated, with donations helping towards the costs of items from a 'wish list' which includes the famous Christmas dinner and other needed groceries, utility bills and of course, christmas presents for the families as well.

'So, sounds fun, but how does this whole idea work?' I hear you ask. Well, our good friend Yutaka puts his trusty man mane in your capable hands, and has set himself a target of $2,500 goal to meet. If the goal is reached his beard is safe, sounds simple enough so far, right? But if he falls short of his target goal then the unthinkable will happen, and our Brand Viking will once more face the chop and expose his 'nakey face' for the world to see.

Yutaka was super close to his set target last year that he has decided to only adjust things ever so slightly this year in the hope of reaching his goal with ease. But in order for this to happen WE ARE GONNA NEED YOUR HELP!

So, how can you get involved? Through the power of the internet, of course, and here is how...

'The Beard Struggle' have once again rolled up our sleeves and are supporting such an outstanding cause, and the bravery of 'braving the shave' from our own Yukaka, but of course we don't want to have to say goodbye to that handsome beard once again! So, why not pick up our strictly limited edition 'No Shave for Exit 6' tees, with all profits made going directly into the 'Adopt A Family' kitty.

If gearing up in awesome limited edition snazzy t shirts just isn't your kinda thing but you would still like to lend a helping hand then you can always donate directly to the cause via the official 'Adopt A Family' GoFundMe page. Please note, all money donated will help change the lives of someone who may be less fortunate than ourselves, and all charges that are incurred by GoFundMe themselves will be covered by Yutaka, not by your donations.

As we wrap up on today's post we reach out to you, our fantastic and loyal supporters and ask for you to take a little time aside to get involved. You can CLICK RIGHT HERE for more information and to help spread the word through the power of social media sites, and remember, no donation is ever considered 'too small' and we thank each and everyone of you for your support and goodwill towards such a fantastic cause.

We would like to take a moment to wish Yutaka the best of luck this year, and promise to support the cause by his side as we pledge to 'SAVE YUTAKAS BEARD!' You can keep up to speed by following Exit 6 Pub & Brewery on Facebook, by following our Brand Viking Yutaka on Instagram, and follow our Instagram page for daily musings too!
