Here at 'The Beard Struggle' we have an army of loyal Brand Vikings that we would love for you to meet, so starting from today we are going to proudly introduce you to our ambassadors, starting with Norwegians finest, Stian Bjornes. So, let today's exclusive introduction interview commence!
Hi Stian. Firstly, can you introduce yourself, and give us a little background with your involvement with 'The Beard Struggle'?
Hello Peeps!
I'm Stian Bjørnes, from north Norway. I am an Instagram influencer and work with a variety of different brands, as well as a personal trainer. When I came into contact with The Beard Struggle, we had great ambitions to reach out to more people. I wanted to work with 'TBS' because I saw the products good true values, and I liked them as well. Personally, I would just like to represent in products that I personally like and use myself. I was the first representative/Brand Viking and the main ambassador of The Beard Struggle.
Thanks, Stian. May I ask how old were you when you first began to grow out your beard?
I started to grow my beard when I was 35 years old. I've always been a person that has had 1-2 day beard/stubble or smooth clean shave. But when I started to grow my beard, I felt that I was a real MAN. And many people now follow me on social media because I'm a typical Norwegian Viking.
I must say your beard looks in fantastic shape! Was it love at first sight? Or did it take a little time to adapt to having a furry face?
It was love at first sight. This beard for me has become a trademark of mine, and I have since become dependent on having it. My Instagram profile followers started growing, as well as my beard when I began growing it out. My followers increased from 4,000+ followers to reaching a staggering 404K in little over a year. I do not think it is just my beard that has seen me have so many followers, although it is a big part of it. And the beard is very much a big part of me.
Naturally, you would have tried and tested our 'TBS' Viking beard care range of products. Can you give us your own thoughts and feedback?
I have tried all the 'TBS' products, and they impress me a lot. I'm a big fan of the oils, balms, wash and conditioner. I MUST have them, and use them everyday.
Is there a particular 'TBS' oil or balm scent that you prefer over all of the others?
Day liquid gold tonic (Viking Rum) is my ultimate favourite.
Great choice! What is your typical day to day routine when it comes to maintaining your awesome facial hair?
First, I wash my beard with 'TBS' wash and then conditioner. Then I dry this beard lightly with a towel before applying oil to help style, then I apply a little balm too.
Could you ever see yourself reverting back to the 'clean shaven' look, or is that just a distant memory of the past?
I have been tempted to take away the beard on several occasions. But then I recall that I'm a totally different person without, and I thrive at my best with a beard. So I think it will be difficult to remove the beard now.
We totally agree, you would have to be crazy to want to shave off that awesome Viking beard of yours. Finally, do you have any words of advice for those who have just started growing out, to help inspire them on in their beard growing journey?
Growing a beard is not the easiest task. It may begin to itch, you may find that your have dry skin and tired worn beard. That is when I got the help of The Beard Struggle Viking collection. They had everything I needed in order to avoid any more itching, dry skin areas and a tired beard.
Want to grow your beard? try using 'The Beard Struggle' products, it will make the process so much easier. - The beard is not abundant in only 2-3 months, grow it over a longer period of time and trim it occasionally, usually at barbershops (there are always good places to find tips and advice). Then you can achieve a rich and good beard that ladies will love, almost as much as you do. Do not use the comb too much, as this then may make your beard wear out faster.
Thank you for the great advice! Now, where can our readers reach out and follow you on social media, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram?
