SHOULD YOU TRIM YOUR BEARD IF YOU'RE TRYING TO GROW IT OUT?

Happy Monday everybody! As a new week begins so does the month of December, where we welcome the Christmas festivities, as we all spend too much time and money online shopping to please our friends and loved ones and in the spirit of Christmas.

With the cold winter snap creeping in fast, as the ice settles on our doorsteps it's the most popular time of the year where men decide to stop trying to tame those face whiskers and decide to grow a jolly good looking manly full beard, much like Mr Santa Claus himself. So, this means you don't have to worry yourself about taking a beard trim, right? Well, not always, no. But let's look at this a little closer in today's blog, titled - Should You Trim Your Beard If You're Trying To Grow It Out?...

TRIMMING MY BEARD IS THE LAST THING I WANT TO DO!

When a man decides to grow a fuller, thicker and longer beard the chances are the last thing on his mind is having to trim down your beard anytime soon for the foreseeable future. Afterall, you are trying to grow the longest, most wizardly beard known to man, so why on earth would you ever need to trim it?

Well, truth be told a light trim every now and then might actually help speed up the hair growth, allowing you to reach 'beard awesome' levels much quicker than if you decide not to. 'But how is this so? and does such witchcraft actually work?' I hear you all ask (or read, as this is a written blog, afterall!)

It is a rather simple process, really. Leaving your facial hair to grow long, wild and free doesn't alway lead to optimal results. In fact, just letting things grow with little to no upkeep isn't the smartest trick in the book at all. The reason being an unkempt face full of wild whiskers can lead to further split ends, dry spots and itchy, flakey troubled facial hair. this happens when a trouble patch of hairs sustains split ends which then go unnoticed by the wearer, as these horrible breakouts won't repair themselves, and require our attention in order to correct them fast.

And how's best to do so? With a light trim! SImples!

PEOPLE SAY MY FACIAL HAIR LOOKS SCRUFFY AND NEEDS A TRIM?

Your facial hair might appear somewhat mey and unkempt when you start growing out. But In short, try not to overly concern yourself about it, or of those light hearted opinions of those around you.

Yes, you might feel a touch out of your usual comfort zone, and you may even be considering shaving it all off. But trust me when I say this, just take a deep breath and roll with it, as given a little more time it'll all figure itself out and begin to lengthen as it grows and straightens in the coming weeks/months.

I'VE BEEN GROWING FOR A WHILE, AND STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN THE RESULTS I HAD HOPED FOR!

So, you'v gave it your best shot yet you are still not overly sold by the results you've been reaching so far, now what should I do? Here's my strongest piece of advice I can give you, DON'T SWEAT IT, DON'T QUIT IT, JUST STICK WITH IT!

More often than not those who tap out and shave off a few scruffy whiskers just because they weren't happy with the appearance it gave just needed to give growing those whiskers a touch more time and TLC to achieve what they were hoping to achieve all along.

So, if you ever find yourself at a loss and feeling a little blue and unsure what to do, give yourself a break, relax and don't sweat it. Just learn to live with what you have and things will almost certainly improve in the coming months. And trust me when I say I'm almost certain you'll be happy with the results if you do.

WHEN ALL'S SAID AND DONE, JUST LET IT GROW!

Growing a beard is never the same from one bearded mans face to another. Some are blessed with impeccable genes, whereas others seem to have been hit with the unlucky stick. But whatever hand you have been dealt that doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't grow a beard of your own.

Let those whiskers grow out proudly, yes it might take you longer than your 'blessed with the perfect beardy genes' bredren to muster things together, but if you refuse to quit, and refuse to lose a marvelous hairy face is soon to be yours waiting for you right around the corner, I can assure you.

That sees our Monday blog come to a close for now my friends, as ever we fully encourage you to get in touch for all the right reasons, and you can do so by leaving us a comment or three in the comments section provided below.
