Finding subjects to discuss in my beard blogs often leads me into hours upon hours of excessive beard Google searches. If anyone was to look into my internet browsing history you'd think I have some sort of weird obsession with men's facial growth and scientific 'beardy' studies, and you'd not be far wrong!
Today's subject of choice talks about sex. Worry not, this isn't going to delve into a 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' erotica sort of blog, but instead I'm going to highlight what the professionals say about sex and the effects it has on your beards growth.
You don't have to search too far to find some sort of 'beard study' or what the so called 'researchers' have discovered about our facial forests. And I do tread carefully to only share the facts over fiction in what I feel to be true or false. And todays topic at hand is very much open to public debate...
'NOT HAVING SEX FOR SOMETIME CAN HELP YOUR BEARDS GROWTH!'
According to some, sex can actually stump your beards growth by slowing down the bodies natural hormone levels in turn having a small impact on your bodies hair growth, one of them being your beard. Now, I can't find enough solid evidence to support such claims as these so called 'studies' and 'professionals' do not offer much more of an explanation other than what you have just read above. This leads me to believe that no such studies have ever taken place to gather such information to prove this statement to be either true or false.
Now, on the flipside of this....
'HAVING SEX CAN ACTUALLY HELP YOUR BEARDS GROWTH!'
According to other 'studies' and 'reports' sex can actually play a huge advantage in your facial hairs growth. As during sex it is believed that your body produces higher levels of the testosterone that is responsible for your bodies hair growth, sending higher waves of the said hormone to your bodies hair follicles which then encourages your hair to grow that little bit faster and sometimes even slightly thicker. Without going into the scientific 'mumbo jumbo' I can indeed confirm such studies have take place which confirm that when it comes to sex there is a more beneficial gain.
'BUT WHAT ABOUT, ERM...GOING SOLO?'
You're probably wondering if the same happens when you are 'buffin the banana' shall we say. And in short the answer is yes. Only when you go it alone your body doesn't reach the sexual levels of excitement that you're more likely to reach when you are with your partner, in turn your body won't produce nearly as much natural testosterone as it would during sex. So 'going solo' won't make your palms hairy after all, just your facial fluff instead.
Well, that wraps up another beard blog for today! As always let us know your thoughts by leaving us your comments in the box provided below.
