It is that time of year once more where hundreds of thousands of men have participated in raising awareness whilst growing out their man manes. November or more smartly labelled as 'No Shave November' has now been and gone, which suggests it's time to kiss goodbye to all that hard work and dedication you have shown as you shave your face fuzz a fond farewell down the sink plug hole. But it doesn't have to be that way. Chances are you've become rather attached with your new found furry face gruff. And you may decide you'd like to keep it that little bit longer on the hope that those around you, particularly in the workplace learn to love and accept that beard nearly as much as you do. Well, here are a few pointers on how to care for your new furry face and promote a clean, healthy, vitalised beard moving on forward...

LONG LIVE THE BEARD!

November sees a flood of furry faces overtake the planet no matter which way you turn. For those who are just starting out growing, it often provides the perfect platform to give facial hair a real go without being judged by those around you. More often than not afterwards you've slowly warmed to the 'beard life', rather admiring your 'new look' and decide you'd like to keep it, despite the moans and groans from your loves ones. If you take a few simple tips from me on how to keep your beard on top of it's 'A Game' you'll soon have your wife, girlfriend, other half, Mr, Mrs, Mistress (or all of the above!) coming round to your way of thinking in next to no time. Honest.

COMB THAT FUZZ LIKE NEVER BEFORE!

It may seem a rather obvious pointer, but combing through your beard each day helps detangle those knots and tangled areas that hide away inside your beard. Not only does it help better control your beard, but regular combing also helps your beard find its growing direction, guiding your face fuzz as to where you'd like it to be. Although combing is key, it's also important to no over-comb. As doing so may loosen up and lose you one too many facial hairs in the process. On an average, I comb my beard 3 times maximum per day, unless more is needed. But this is just a friendly guideline.

TREAT YOUR BEARD TO A SPLASH OF 'TBS' OIL AND BALM!

Regular readers! Are you ready to say 'Oh no, here we go again!' As once more I'm going to stress the importance of treating both your face and your beard to a happy helping of premium beard oil and/or balm. As in doing so you're treating the skin hidden beneath your beard to a barrier or hydration that will grant both your beard and your face the moisture it needs to grow out a long, healthy vibrant beard. It's sometimes easy to forget that there's a face hidden away underneath your beard that's also crying out for some much needed attention. Now, unlike a needy ex partner, your skin does not request a fancy candle lit romantic dinner, or a night at the movies with sweetened popcorn. (although, all that fun stuff does seem rather appealing I must say!). All your skin requires is a little added protection to help prevent any dry troublesome areas from arising. As when they do, they can easily lead onto other problems, such as the rather unsightly dreaded 'beardruff' and nasty skin irritating rashes as well as higher levels of split ends within the beard. So, when it comes to choosing the right beard oils and balms, rest assured that we provide some of the finest hand made products you could ever wish for.

DON'T FALL FOR THE HAIRDRYER TRICKS! YOU'LL CAUSE YOURSELF A MISCHIEF!

This pointer is one I firmly stand by personally, although it does seem to raise a lot of opinion amongst our readers whenever I speak on it. But using a hair dryer or hair straightener for that matter upon your beard is a huge no go. Although you don't have to search too far to find helpful tutorials of fellow 'beardies' who opt in for using such items, I stand firm in stressing that these tools can cause you and your beard more harm than good if over used on a long term basis. Blasting huge waves of extra heat directly onto your face and beard is sure to strip your beard hair of its naturally produced oils as well as drying out the skin below in record time. I can see why people choose to use a hair dryer on larger beards, as it seems like a sure thing to do. Although I'd still tread cautiously when doing so, remembering these products were never designed with the safety of your beard in mind. In place may I suggest you gently towel dry that furry face or yours for safer results all round.
