Possibly one of my all time favourite actors, Jim Carrey has sent the internet into a real sh*t storm after appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night.
But it wasn't his sharp, witty sense of humour, or his undeniable charm that stole the show, but instead his newfound face whiskers that had the internet talking, so much so Jim Carrey became a trending topic on the social media platform Twitter for the first time in a while.
Carrey embraced a roaring audience who made the movie star comic feel right at home since stepping out of the spotlight in recent times. Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel soon mentioned Jim's new appearance, more specifically his grey, wizard-like beard.
Carrey went on to explain how his facial hair had taken over, stating it even had it's own Twitter, which thankfully follows him. ''Everywhere I go people talk about the beard, they go what are you doing? Why are you growing a beard? Wherever I show up, it becomes the story. It's a bigger star than me at this point.'' Carrey said during the casual interview.
In true Carrey style he wrapped up on the furry faced chatter by stating - ''The question is not why you growing a beard, the real question is why am I growing a beard and still shaving my balls?''
During the interview Carrey also shared an interesting story that happened to him recently after tapping into his 'Ventura' persona, getting up close and personal with the wildlife living near his home in Los Angeles. For those of you who follow Mr Carrey on his social media platforms you may recall a recent video of him feeding local found birds living around his home.
The slow motion captures were pretty mesmerizing to say the least as one bird in particular swooped in to take what appears to be a tiny piece of cracker from Jim Carrey's mouth, lightly brushing up against his furry face in the process. ''That was a beautiful thing, but then I started scratching a lot. And I couldn't sleep at night because I was itching all over, then I started doing some research and learned that birds are infested with mites. And I had invited them into my home, they were everywhere, pooping on everything. They were on my shoulder and I was covered from head to foot with mites.''
I must admit it was great to see a different side to Jim Carrey. Growing up watching movies like 'The Mask', 'Ace Ventura, Pet Detective' 'Dumb and Dumber' and 'Liar Liar' to name but a few was a real treat as a kid. Movies that I still love to watch today, and introduce my own children to as well.
We wish Mr Jim Carrey all the very best, and of course, we most certainly approve of that new epic furry face of his too. Hey, Jim! need hooking up with some 'TBS' products? Get in touch! It would be a real pleasure!
