As magnificent as furry faces can be, beardsmen often encounter several beard related issues along the way. Today I wanted to look a little closer at dry, brittle-like beards and what causes these issues to arise in the first place, whilst advising what can be done to help eradicate the problem at hand. So, here's How To Overcome And Conquer A Dry Brittle Beard...
FIRSTLY, WHAT CAUSES YOUR BEARD TO BECOME BRITTLE IN THE FIRST PLACE?
There are several causes of beard brittleness, from using incorrect products that strip away your facial hairs moisture and naturally formed oil content, which in turn thins out your beard hair causing such damage. To letting your grooming routine slide by not providing your beard with the protection it needs by simply using the right beard oils and balms. When your beard reaches a good length it heavily relies upon your time and care to help maintain itself in a healthy state, there are no corners to be cut or 'beard cheats' to be known, as without following a bulletproof grooming routine, you're almost certainly setting yourself up to eventually fall.
MY BEARD IS ALREADY DRY AND WEAK, WHAT CAN I DO FROM HERE?
Thankfully it isn't the end of the road if you are already suffering from beard dryness, as beards are made from tough stuff and with a little TLC can usually repair themselves fairly well. If your beard feels weak to the touch and snaps easily upon contact there are a few techniques in which you can follow to help fix up on these areas, but timing is everything, as the longer your choose to ignore these issues the tougher they'll become to repair later on down the line. Firstly, STOP using everyday soaps/shampoo & conditioners within your beard, as whilst they seem to work well for you and your beard short term, the chances are they are the main cause of all beard issues you'll encounter in the not so distant future. The chemicals used within shampoos that are designed for your head hair prove too harsh for your beard. Instead save yourself the future heartache and buy yourself some 'TBS' beard wash that won't damage your furry face follicles. Secondly don't penny pinch when it comes to finding a beard oil that works best for both you and your beard, as some of the products readily available online lack many of the essential oils needed to fully promote a healthy beard mane. Check out our 'The Beard Struggle' range and read our customer feedback reviews to find a product you know you can trust. And once you have obtained the right tools for the job at hand, be sure to use them! Don't have too many 'lazy-beard days' where you either forget or cannot be fussed with taking a few moments aside to care for your beard. As in doing so, you'll soon notice dry areas begin to show within your face fluff, and if left untreated for too long further issues are certain to take hold. So, to sum things up in short - Use the right tools for the job. Don't try to cut corners when caring for your beard and remember that consistency is everything.
