First things first, if you celebrate a little known festive holiday known as Christmas, how was it? Did you get everything you'd wished for underneath your Christmas tree? Mine was fun-filled with my little ones and wonderful wife, Couldn't wish for anything more in fact.
Today I wanted to frog march forward with the new year right upon the horizon and discuss exactly what us bearded fellows have to contend with on a daily basis, as we begin with today's beardy blog topic, titled - Here's What Living Your Life With A Beard Is Like...
YOU'LL GET COMPLIMENTED AND PLENTY!
When a man sports a face full of manly whiskers he will soon become the center of a flurry of compliments regarding his new beard wherever he goes. The chances are many of these comments will come in thick and fast from the same sex as yourself, as the respect shown between bearded Brothers is like no other.
But a compliment is a compliment and I'm only too willing to accept them from anybody and everybody, and I'm sure many of you reading this would agree.
BUT NOT EVERYONE WILL LIKE YOUR NEW BEARDED LIFESTYLE!
As nice as it is when someone fires you a cheeky compliment toward your furry face, unfortunately not everyone will share your newfound enthusiasm when it comes to your furry face forest.
Usually you'll have one or two awkward family members who aren't all that impressed with the new look, and maybe a friend or two as well.. But thankfully it is not them growing that marvel of a beard, but you and yours alone. So don't let any such comments take the shine of your day, and continue growing out that beard of yours.
WHAT STARTED OUT AS A LITTLE STUBBLE HAS BECOME SOMETHING MUCH MORE!
When the majority of us begin to grow a little face fur, it starts out as light stubble, which then manifests into a rather impressive beard of which many of us grow rather attached to, no pun intended.
Given a little time an we can almost forget how we even looked before the beard began growing, and might question the thought of never shaving again, ever. Ask any bearded man and he will explain what it is he loves about his beard, and I'm guessing that this list will be plenty.
YOU'LL PROBABLY SHAVE AGAIN, BUT INSTANTLY REGRET DOING SO IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY!
If like me, and many others for that matter, the chances are you might reconsider shaving again in the not so distant future, and if you put that train of thought into a reality you'll likely instantly regret doing so and may even question why on earth you thought this 'clean shaven' lifestyle was to be a good idea in the first place. For me it started with what should have been a light trim, which quickly turned on its head which seen me having to shave everything off and start all over from scratch.
Take it from me, this was a bad move with instant regret (and even a few years!). So, steer clear of those razors and trimmers when possible, and let your beard grow long and prosper forever more!
