Taking the time aside to care for your facial hair is possibly the most important part of having a beard. As without taking a little time and care to prepare our face forests they would soon begin to look tatty and somewhat scruffy I'm sure you would all agree.

Today I wanted to talk about the importance of combing your facial hair, as we discuss a few simple pointers to follow in the process.

USING A TRUSTY COMB DETANGLES ANY KNOTS AND TANGLES!

The main reason for choosing to comb through your face rug would be to detangle any troublesome knots that are often hiding away in the depths of our face fluff. If we didn't these mischievous hairs would only further gather and mat themselves up in larger quantities, proving to be a real pain in the ass and a rather big eye sore in the process.

Taking a little time to comb through your beard each morning, midday and again in the evening will be sure to help keep those knots at bay, making both you and your beards life more peaceful in the process.

IT ALSO HELPS EVEN OUT YOUR BEARD OIL!

Another trick is to comb through your face forest right after applying a little 'TBS' beard oil and / or balm. Why? It's rather simple really, as doing so will help your applied product of choice reach those usually harder to reach areas, whilst providing a more even cover of the product too.

This will further promote a more defined sharper looking beard and help it protect just as it should, making it easier to control and style your beard ready for the day ahead.

COMBING YOUR BEARD IN THE SHOWER IS ALSO HELPFUL!

another handy little trick I recommend is to purchase a plastic wide toothed comb that is suitable for the use of in the shower.

These come in real handy when you are washing through your beard and help the soapy suds reach deep down into your beard and remove any built up dead skin particles and any other nasties that may be lurking in there.

When your facial hair is wet it also becomes much straighter and appears longer, which makes removing any tangles so much easier with a little help from your comb.
