FOUR RULES FOR GROWING OUT THE PERFECT BEARD

Happy Monday to all of our beard blog readers and furry-faced friends, and here is hoping that your weekend was long, plentiful and rather exciting, much like your beard game.

Let us kick things off in full swing today as we burst open a rather common topic regarding our furry faces, as we begin today's blog topic, smartly titled Four Rules For Growing Out The Perfect Beard...

DON'T BE AFRAID TO START OVER FROM SCRATCH...

Beards do grow in a wide variety of lengths, shades, styles, and sizes. But in order to start out an even growth rate many may consider shaving it all off and starting over. Which isn't such a bad idea for some.

Whilst many might cringe at the very thought of having to shave again, sometimes it is exactly what can be needed to have a fresh start and a better balance of healthy facial hair growth. Now I'm not suggesting this action is wide for everyone, but if you are seeing little to no results and your hairs are splitting and things are growing patchy, it could be a blessing to start over.

This usually relates more so to first-time beard growers, as those first whiskers you grow out are often fluffy and won't fill out as they should. This would be as and when I would recommend you switch things up and start from scratch. Chances are things will grow fuller, thicker and a little bit quicker too.

HOLD YOUR NERVE AND DO NOT SHAVE TO SURVIVE THE ITCH...

Aha! the dreaded itching stages of beard growth, everyone's least favourite start in the game we know as facial hair growing.

Usually, this is caused by the fact that you have thousands of teeny tiny hairs piercing through your face, with usually results in a red, bumpy rash and a nasty itch might soon follow. But wait, not all is a loss. Sometimes using a little beard oil might help ease things along nicely as well. so always keep this in mind moving forward.

This is often the biggest hurdle that many men fold and fall at, and instead of riding it sticking with and riding it out, then opt-in to shave again deciding that the bearded life is not for them. But thankfully this itch doesn't stay all too long, so suck it up buttercup! It'll soon be over.

FIGURE OUT WHAT BEARD STYLE YOU WANT AND GROW INTO IT...

More often than not men usually have a pretty good idea on what beard style they are hoping to achieve before they even start growing one out. I opted in for the chin strap to start with, then following a trimming disaster, I decided to go all out like a scruffy viking and let it be for sometime before having a tidy up.

It is advisable that you think about what style would suit you best and more importantly is possible for you to reach. When you have that figured out then keep your eyes on the prize and let it grow, baby!

DON'T TRIM THAT FACE FUZZ TOO SOON...

One mistake I see happen time and time again when it comes to furry man manes is the beholder feels a little scruffy and chooses to take a visit to the beard barber a touch too soon, or even worse decides to go at it alone in the comfort of their home.

Your face fur should be at a substantial length before you even consider the idea of a light trim. Chances are you'll not be happy with the results, and this will only put you back a step or two on your beard growing journey. Take it from me, this is a lesson learned I've learned the hard way myself.

Well, that sees today's blog come to a sweet close for now, my furry- faced friends.
