3 BEARD HABITS YOU DON'T EVEN REALIZE PART 2

Throughout your beard growing journey you'll notice your new found face forest will take on various shapes and sizes. As we learn to live with a beard we often make numerous mistakes when it comes to caring for our beards. Some you may be aware of, others you may not. A short while ago I wrote part one of today's topic which proved to be rather popular amongst my fellow bearded followers. So much so, I thought it would be rather fitting to follow up with a part two. So, today here's Bad Beard Habits You Don't Even Realise You Are Doing - Part 2...

LETTING YOUR BEARD RUN WILD AND FREE IS A HUGE NO NO!

When it comes to beard maintenance your day-to-day grooming routine shouldn't take all that long and will prove a highly vital part of your beards overall health and wellbeing. If you think growing a beard is as easy as just sitting there and doing diddly squit, you are way off the mark. If left to its own devices your facial gruff will soon resemble a victim of road kill and will then dry out granting you an uncontrollable frizz that will be prove nearly impossible to shake rid of. So, if you want to sport a healthy long lived luxurious beard then make sure you're ready to put in the time to do so.

TRIMMING MISTAKES HAPPEN AND OFTEN GO UNNOTICED!

It can be rather easy to make the odd mistake when it comes to neatening up your 'man-mane' at home. The most common mistakes I often see made are cutting an uneven cheek line, to trimming your neckline a tad too high. Although when your beard reaches a certain length you'll not need to overly concern yourself about trimming this area anymore. But for shorter styled beards it can define a natural appearance to your jaw line. If trimming mistakes do happen try not to get too wound up by it all. Just remember, given a couple of weeks your beard will outgrow the mistake at hand for you to continue on growing with your bearded life.

WHEN IT COMES TO BEARD OIL, A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY!

You'll have likely read my many praises for the use of premium beard oils and balms in almost every blog I have ever written whilst here at 'The Beard Struggle'. But using such products should be absolute key to every bearded gentlemen's daily routine. Just remember that when you're applying oils and balms to your furry face, a lot does go along way. When I first began to grow out my red (okay, it's ginger!) beard I often made the school boy error of applying a little too much product to my newly acquired furry chops. Doing so can leave you feeling a tad sticky and rather uncomfortable throughout your day, and will leave an oily like residue on pretty much anything that comes into contact with your beard. From mobile phone (or as those Brothers across the pond call it, cell phone!) to any items of clothing. Everything! If you're unsure on how much you should be using I suggest you use a small pea size amount to begin, then if more is needed you can easily apply a little more where needed. Whereas if you over apply, it can prove a real nightmare to rectify.

You'll find everything you need and more to maintain an optimal beard readily available in our exclusive 'The Beard Struggle' online store.
