4 THINGS I WISH I KNEW BEFORE GROWING A BEARD

Happy Friday folks! The day we all wish would pass us by that little bit quicker in order for the fun and games of the weekend to begin to unfold.

Today, I thought I would talk about a few of things I wish I knew about before I began growing out a beard. All for the giggles of course, so let us begin with 4 Things I Wish I Knew Before Growing Out A Beard...

YOU'LL CATCH ALL SORTS OF STUFF IN YOUR BEARD!

Our facial forests are pretty awesome at catching just about anything and everything possible that we come into contact with. From food crumbs, to drink spillages, you'll find just about anything hiding away amongst your marvelous face fur.

If you have kids, particularly daughters the chances are they might like to do the occasional beard makeover, which usually involves hair bobbles, glitter and makeup, yep makeup. You can imagine the mess that this might cause. You'll be finding glitter in your facial hair for weeks to come.

BEARD HAIRS FALL AND TURN UP JUST ABOUT EVERYWHERE!

You might have noticed the odd beard hair that may have fallen out from your furry face all about the house as you go about your business. But the bigger the beard the more the hairs seem to fall.

I kid you not, my wife is forever giving me hell for finding my ginger beard hairs just about everywhere. Granted they do end up in some rather odd places, but the less we talk about that the better. Looking at my keyboard right now I spy a couple of stray hairs on the loose, they're literally hiding everywhere!

YOU CAN HAVE A GINGER TINT TO YOUR WHISKERS EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT GINGER!

Ginger beards are every-growing in popularity, so much so that you really don't have to search all that far before you spot one.

But even the darkest haired gent can have a slight ginger tint to one's beard, it's a pretty long winded process as to how this happens, but I did write a blog about this a while a go.

Much like myself, if I were to grow my hair it would grow out a light shade brown, but I have the biggest bunch of red whiskers I ever did see growing proudly upon my face. And would I change it given half the chance? Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!

YOU'LL BECOME A LITTLE OBSESSED WITH YOUR BEARD!

One of the main things that surprised me about growing my face fuzz was just how attached I've become to it. When I first set out on this 'beard growing game' journey I never thought I would become slightly obsessed with my face fuzz. It's a huge part of me, my image as well as my character.

I can honestly say I wouldn't be without my beard anymore. Mainly because I look like an empty plate with my big ol' moon face without it, not pretty I can assure you.

Many of you probably agree that beards are pretty cool and you've likely became rather attached to yours as well, it's one of those things that you have to 'grow to know'.

That sees this week's blog content come to a sweet close for now. As always be sure to leave us your thoughts and feedback in the comments section below.
