If you are anything like me you are probably rather fond of your furry face forest, so much so you will do whatever it takes to protect it from any day to day nasties that it might occur. Today I wanted to talk about four of the most common things we can find lurking below that fuzz, and what we can do to help further protect our face fuzz in the process...
DRY SKIN CAN BE QUICK TO BUILD AND CAN ITCH LIKE A BIT*H!
Dry skin can form just about anywhere upon the human body, usually all that this is is a buildup of dead skin cells that flake, and wash right away rather easily enough.
The only issue we have to contend with when it comes to dry skin forming away in our facial hair is dry skin has the upper hand of hiding away out of our line sight.
Often we do not even know we have a bad bout of flaky skin hiding away beneath the surface, that is until it's flaking off onto our clothes. So, next time you take a shower be that little more extra vigilant to keep those face flakes at bay.
OLD PRODUCT BUILD UP CAN CAUSE RASHES TO FORM!
Another guilty party that can easily hide away in our face fluff is any beard care product we choose to use.
Often this can build up and sit away hidden on the base of the beard and skin if we do two things. The first being applying too much product at one given time. And secondly if we fail to correctly wash away any use more product to reapply more again a day or so after.
When taking a shower why not invest in a wide toothed plastic comb, much like the ones our other half like to use in the shower. This will make sure the soapy suds reach right down and through your facial hair, removing any dirt, grime and product build up in the process.
BEARDRUFF IS REAL, UGLY AND CAN BE A NIGHTMARE TO SHIFT!
Dandruff can be a right old pain in the butt, and not only does this stuff form in the hair upon our heads (if you are lucky enough to till have any, that is!) but it can also form rather easily in the hair upon our chins, fondly titled by may as the dreaded 'beardruff'.
But what is beardruff? Well, it can be a collection of all of the named above. It often forms in large amounts and can itch like crazy if left ignored and untreated.
Again, the simplest route is to check that you are using the correct product within your beard, and to wash your facial hair that little more frequently until it has cleared away nicely once more.
ALLERGIC REACTIONS ARE MORE COMMON THAN YOU'D THINK!
Us humans can be allergic to just about anything, and our reactions can be anything from itchy, blotchy, spotty areas and just about everything in between.
Our face fuzz can hold some rather nasty reactions if we use something that doesn't agree with us. The simplest way to avoid this is to check and test whatever product you are using first, rather than jump right in and use it. Also, only use products that are made for the safe use upon facial hair, otherwise you could be asking for trouble from the get go.
The simplest option to fix all of the above mentioned issues is to keep that face rug of yours clean and dirt free whenever possible. Only use the finest products within your beard and do not cut corners when possible, as nine times out of ten it will only end up biting you firmly on the butt in the long run. So, follow our advice and I think you'll be right as rain in next to no time, Brother.
